Where the numbers come from.

We publish only aggregate statistics, such as median asking rent, listing counts and how long listings stay up. We never republish listings, listing text or listing photos. We store no personal data about landlords, tenants or anyone named in a listing.

Sources

• Publicly visible rental listings in Metro Vancouver, observed at a low daily rate and summarised into statistics.
• Public reference data, such as CMHC rental market reports, for context only. Survey rents and new asking rents are never mixed.
• Details you type into a rent check, used only to produce your result.
